Job Description:

Join a highly specialized SICU travel nursing team in New Orleans, LA, for an engaging 13-week assignment. This role involves caring for critically ill surgical patients, including post-operative cardiac, transplant, and trauma recovery cases. You'll work 12-hour night shifts from 7:15 PM to 7:15 AM, with the possibility of flexible scheduling between 3 or 4 shifts per week. The assignment offers an opportunity to work alongside experienced teams on high acuity cases, with some float requirements to other ICUs and SDUs. Be prepared to contribute to emergency teams if needed, as your unit manager may assign you to standby during critical events. This position emphasizes clinical expertise in post-op cardiac, transplant, and renal therapies, and requires certifications including ACLS, BLS, and NIH.
