Job Description:

This registered nurse role involves working on a 20-bed general medical-surgical and telemetry unit within a reputable hospital setting. You will be responsible for caring for orthopedic, pulmonary, cardiac, GI, endocrine, renal, psychiatric, and other complex patient cases. The position requires frequent floating to various units, including Neuro, Trauma, and Observation, with patient ratios typically at 1:5 by day and 1:6 by night, occasionally extending to 1:7 during staffing challenges. Expect to perform weekly assessments, vital checks, labs, and interventions, all while utilizing EPIC charting. This 13-week contract features night shifts of 12 hours, from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, with a commitment of 48 hours per week and weekend work on Saturdays and Sundays. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of telemetry experience in a large, urban hospital environment, be prepared for floating, and work with a team that includes care techs, transport staff, and physicians. Certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and CPI are required or preferred, respectively. This role offers a chance to work in a NICOTINE-FREE facility with professional parking options and attractive weekly gross pay of approximately $2,953.20.
