Job Description:

Join the team at The Johns Hopkins Hospital for a 15-week assignment in their Cardiovascular Surgical ICU (CVSICU) located in Baltimore, Maryland. This role offers the opportunity to work in a specialized environment caring for patients recovering from complex cardiac surgeries, including heart transplants and ventricular assist devices. You'll be focusing on post-op cardiac surgery recovery, managing ventilators, CRRT, Swan measurements, epicardial wires, vasoactive medication titrations, and supporting patients with IABP and ECMO. This isn't your typical ICU—precision, quick thinking, and attention to detail are key in this 18-bed unit. The shift involves 12-hour days, with orientation on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month, preparing you for either an A/P rotation or straight PM schedule. Expect to work 36 hours weekly, making this a rewarding opportunity to sharpen your skills in a high-acuity, highly specialized setting.
