Job Description:

This travel assignment offers a unique opportunity for a Registered Nurse specialized in Labor & Delivery, working 12-hour night shifts at a facility with 8 beds located in Spearfish, South Dakota. You will be responsible for providing direct care to mothers, newborns, and associated Postpartum and Antepartum patients, including caring for sick babies in the Level 2A nursery. The role involves interpreting fetal monitoring data, adult and neonatal assessments, and responding to emergencies with skills in EFM interpretation and neonatal assessment. The environment demands adaptability, as float responsibilities may include Med/Surg tasks aligned with your scope of practice. Expect a 36-hour weekly commitment for approximately 13 weeks, with weekend rotations and scheduled holiday on-call duties. The facility emphasizes teamwork, supporting staff with centralized fetal monitoring, in-house hospitalists, and 24/7 lab services. A one-week orientation ensures you're well-prepared to thrive in this dynamic setting.
