Job Description:

This Radiation Oncology nursing role offers an engaging opportunity to work within an ambulatory outpatient setting, focusing on patients with cancers such as prostate, head & neck, breast, lung, and more. You'll be responsible for administering contrast infusions during CT procedures, managing side effects of radiation therapy, and providing patient education. Candidates should be comfortable with procedures like peripheral IV insertion and port access, and possess knowledge to triage for contrast reactions. The shift runs weekdays from approximately 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, lasting for 13 weeks, with 8-hour days and a weekly commitment of 40 hours. This assignment provides a chance to hone specialized skills in radiation oncology in a collaborative environment, with a focus on outpatient care rather than inpatient load.
