Job Description:

This travel nursing assignment places you in a rural Nebraska hospital, where you'll be working 12-hour night shifts for 13 weeks. The role requires versatility, as you'll alternate between ER and MedSurg units, managing farm accidents, orthopedic injuries, kidney stones, flu cases, and more. Candidates should have at least two years of nursing experience with critical access skills, and familiarity with reading strips, managing drips, and interpreting tele strips on cardiac monitors. The schedule is primarily created by the manager, with a preference for block scheduling, but flexibility may be needed. You'll work alongside a small team, with staff ratios depending on census, and take on responsibilities such as setting up bipap and cpap machines, assisting with medications, and handling treatments after hours and on weekends. No IV team, vents, or intensive care patients are involved. The environment offers a chance to develop a broad skill set in a community-focused hospital setting.
