Job Description:

This registered nurse position in the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit offers a chance to work overnight shifts and gain experience with a variety of patient conditions, including higher oxygen needs, dialysis, afib, and post-heart cath care. The shift runs 12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with floating to similar units as needed — perfect for nurses who enjoy a little variety in their routine. Responsibilities include managing patients with drips like heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and Sotolol initiation, as well as telemetry monitoring, all while working in a supportive environment that reviews first-time travelers based on experience. Expect to be hands-on with patient assessments, medication administration, and documentation using EPIC, requiring at least one year of EPIC experience and specific certifications like ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and a Tennessee license.
