Job Description:

Join a fast-paced step-down unit in Omaha, NE, as a registered nurse responsible for managing adult patients with a variety of cardiac, stroke, and medical/surgical diagnoses. This opportunity involves working 12-hour day shifts, providing you with a balanced schedule over 16 weeks. You'll be tasked with titrating multiple IV drips such as heparin, insulin, and octreotide, while also coordinating patient transfers and discharges. This assignment offers a chance to refine your skills in a high-flow environment, collaborate closely with charge nurses and ancillary staff, and experience a lively unit with frequent patient turnover. The role emphasizes teamwork, adaptability, and adherence to hospital policies, including the prohibition of artificial nails and a strict radius rule for candidate placement.
