Job Description:

This registered nurse role in the Emergency Department offers a fulfilling opportunity to work in a bustling, high-acuity Level III trauma center. You'll be responsible for managing a wide spectrum of emergency cases, from neonates to geriatrics, including trauma, stroke, cardiac emergencies, behavioral health, and pediatric trauma. Expect to perform tasks such as administering medications via barcode scanning, managing IV drips, setting up chest tubes, assisting with trauma and codes, and triaging patients after passing the hospital's triage assessment. The setting is fast-paced, with patient ratios averaging 1:3 to 1:5, and the ED handles 200-250 patients daily, ensuring you'll stay engaged and challenged throughout your shift. This assignment includes working 12-hour night shifts for approximately 21 weeks, offering a unique chance to hone your skills in a dynamic environment.
