Job Description:

Step into the fast-paced world of the PCU at James Surg Onc, a busy surgical oncology unit where you'll support adult and geriatric patients facing various cancer diagnoses. This 16-week contract offers a unique opportunity to work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), caring for patients undergoing procedures such as chemotherapy, blood transfusions, and managing oncologic emergencies. As part of a nursing team with a heavy focus on infection prevention and patient safety, you'll float within your scope of practice and adapt to the needs of the department. Your role involves administering treatments, monitoring patient responses, and ensuring overall comfort in a high-acuity setting known for its bustling activity and diverse case mix. Be prepared for a rewarding experience that challenges your clinical skills and expands your expertise in surgical oncology care.
