Job Description:

Join us for a 13-week travel contract in Rockford, Illinois, working 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced intermediate care unit. This role offers an engaging opportunity for registered nurses experienced with trach cares, BiPAP, stroke management, and IV titration. You'll get to troubleshoot ventilator equipment and manage titratable drips like Heparin and Cardizem. The unit operates with a 1:3-4 nurse-to-patient ratio, supported by CNAs and monitor techs who interpret rhythms and assist with patient care. Expect a mix of challenging yet rewarding cases, including stroke, cardiac, sepsis, and surgical patients, all in a supportive environment that values autonomy and teamwork. And yes, the charge nurse usually isn’t assigned patients, giving you space to focus on your patients' needs.
