Job Description:

This 13-week travel assignment at a well-regarded psychiatric hospital in Kansas City, MO, offers an opportunity to work on the inpatient mental health units, including adolescent and adult units with varying acuity levels. You'll be providing direct support in a setting that emphasizes crisis intervention, therapeutic communication, and medication monitoring. Your responsibilities will involve assessing patients’ mental health, developing individualized care plans, and responding to crises with de-escalation techniques. The hospital operates continuously, requiring coverage for three 12-hour days per week, with a schedule that ensures a diverse, engaging experience in psychiatric nursing. Expect to use Meditech documentation and follow established safety and communication protocols to deliver quality patient care.
