Job Description:

Join a bustling neuro telemetry unit as a Telemetry Registered Nurse, providing specialized care for stroke, neurosurgery, trauma, and general med/surg patients. This 13-week contract offers a chance to work on a fast-paced unit with a usual patient load of 1:4, sometimes higher depending on staffing. You'll rotate between 7a-7p and 7p-7a shifts, with every other weekend required. The role involves managing lumbar drains, NIHSS assessments, and delivering stroke education—all within a setting focused on neuro and trauma recovery. Precise skills in telemetry, neuro step-down, and IMC/Stepdown are essential. Travelers need to be prepared to shave for mask fit testing, as masks like CAPRs and PAPRs are not permitted. This assignment provides an enriching experience in a healthcare environment dedicated to advanced neurological care, demanding a blend of expertise and adaptability.
