Job Description:

Seeking an experienced stepdown nurse to join a cardiology stepdown unit in Albany, GA, for a 17-week contract. This role offers a blend of complex cardiac cases, including post-surgery recovery, CHF treatment, and arrhythmia management, with a focus on patients requiring continuous monitoring and advanced interventions. The shift is a 12-hour night schedule, with daily responsibilities involving reading and interpreting cardiac strips, managing drips like Cardizem and amiodarone, and providing vigilant patient care within a fast-paced environment. Floating to ICU is possible but only for those with ICU experience, and the unit's high patient turnover demands adaptability. This assignment provides a chance to sharpen skills in cardiac physiology and acute care nursing in a well-equipped setting with EMR Meditech, Phillips telemetry system, and in-house intensivists available round the clock.
