Job Description:

Join the Surgical Oncology unit at Medical City Plano for an engaging 13-week travel nursing assignment. This role involves supporting a 30-bed unit catering to cancer patients, with a focus on medication administration, chest tube management, NGT, and Foley care. You’ll work 12-hour night shifts, collaborating closely with a dedicated team of nurses and support staff. The environment offers a steady rhythm of patient care in a facility that values teamwork and compassionate service. Expect to handle patient ratios of approximately 1:5 or 1:6 and utilize EMR systems like Meditech. This assignment is ideal for nurses who thrive in specialized oncology settings and possess strong communication and empathy skills. Experience with IV insertions and chemotherapy procedures is preferred but not mandatory; excellent teamwork and adherence to policies are essential.
