Job Description:

This ultrasound technologist position is a 26-week contract working in the Boston area. The schedule involves 10-hour days, with rotating shifts including weekends. You will perform a variety of ultrasound procedures such as abdominal, obstetrical, gynecological, and vascular exams. Your role requires interaction with patients to explain procedures, obtain necessary information, and ensure comfort before conducting imaging. You will assist physicians during invasive procedures like biopsies and amniocenteses, and use portable ultrasound equipment in settings outside the ultrasound suite, including operating rooms, ICU, and emergency departments. The position emphasizes high-level disinfection procedures for equipment and on-call responsibilities after demonstrating the required expertise. ARDMS certification is mandatory, with preference for ABD & RVT credentials, especially given the need for experience in transplants, dopplers, and renal artery stenosis.
