Job Description:

This travel opportunity places you in a mixed unit PCU environment, primarily working in Observation, Med Surg Tele, and Med Surg settings. You'll be responsible for managing adult and geriatric patients with conditions such as chest pain, atrial fibrillation, dehydration, and postoperative complications. The role involves floating across various units including Neuro/Stroke, Cardiac, Orthopedic, Trauma, Oncology, and Uro/Vascular, adapting to different patient needs and department workflows. Expect to handle intermediate medication infusions like heparin, nitro, and insulin, while supporting a fast-paced department with a typical length of stay of 18 to 24 hours. You'll work 12-hour days on a rotating schedule, contributing approximately 36 hours weekly over a 13-week contract, with every other weekend required. Be prepared for a dynamic environment where adaptability and a broad clinical skill set are key, and enjoy the varied patient population and acute care setting that makes this assignment stand out.
