Job Description:

This Medical Surgical Registered Nurse position offers an engaging opportunity to work in a fast-paced emergency overflow unit focused on rapid patient turnover. The role involves providing bedside care for medical patients, constantly assessing their readiness for discharge, and adapting to high patient volumes with a team of diverse staff members including RNs, LPNs, and technicians. Expect to float to other Med Surg units as needed, with shifts consisting of three 12-hour night shifts per week. Ideal candidates will be flexible with holiday coverage and work every other weekend, ensuring smooth staffing on critical days. Travel experience is highly preferred but not mandatory, and local candidates within 50 miles of Battle Creek, MI, are encouraged to apply.
