Job Description:

Join this Level I trauma center in Rockford, Illinois, for a 13-week travel nursing assignment working 12-hour night shifts. As an ER RN, you'll be among a dedicated team handling a wide spectrum of emergencies, from minor injuries to complex trauma cases, including stroke, burn, and geriatric patients with co-morbidities. The hospital's fast-paced ER is staffed with physician and mid-levels, charge nurses, ER techs, and RTs managing advanced equipment like vents and EKGs. This role offers the chance to experience a busy trauma environment with an average of 6 patients in the RME and a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4, depending on volume. Orientation hours are guaranteed, and OSF's call-off policy provides flexibility with minimal penalties. You will need active Illinois licensure, BLS, ACLS, PALS certification, and familiarity with ER drips and trauma protocols. Capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a high-stakes setting, this role will keep your skills sharp and your experience rewarding.
