Job Description:

This 13-week contract offers an engaging opportunity for a registered nurse specialized in medical-surgical and telemetry care. The role involves working three 12-hour night shifts per week, from 8:00 PM to 8:30 AM, in a mixed med-surg unit that features telemetry monitoring. You'll be providing care for adult and geriatric patients with a variety of diagnoses, including COPD, post-surgical recovery, wound care, and infectious diseases. The daily patient census averages 18 across 24 beds, with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5. Expect to rotate within the unit and occasionally float to other areas or affiliated facilities. This assignment emphasizes autonomous bedside nursing, with an emphasis on telemetry and general medical management, in a supportive team environment.
