Job Description:

Join our team for a 13-week travel contract at a Level 1 Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center in Kansas City, Missouri. This RN role involves night shifts (12 hours) on a busy Ortho/Trauma unit, where you’ll handle post-op knee, hip, and shoulder surgeries, trauma cases, and neuro overflow. The unit offers a mix of high-acuity patients, and your expertise in orthopedics, telemetry, and NIH procedures will be put to good use. Staffing includes unit secretaries and PCTs, with modern equipment such as traction, fixators, and cooling devices, all managed through Meditech. If you’re comfortable floating to other MedSurg units and thrive on a fast-paced environment, this assignment could be a perfect fit—and it’s a great way to deepen your trauma and orthopedic experience.
