Job Description:

Join our team as a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse in Bangor, Maine, for a 13-week contract filled with rewarding moments and a little bit of Maine’s charm. This role is perfect for experienced RNs who thrive in a busy maternity setting, managing multiple deliveries and postpartum care, from cervical ripening to neonatal resuscitation. Expect to work 12-hour night shifts, providing essential care during active labor, cesarean sections, and postpartum stabilization. The unit’s layout offers separate but close-knit labor and mother-baby areas, with a variety of patient scenarios such as PIH, GDM, and fetal distress. This assignment is notable for its large referral area, including a NICU that requires experienced staff comfortable with high-acuity situations. Your skills in fetal monitoring, managing insulin, magnesium drips, and assisting in OR procedures will be vital to the team’s success.
