Job Description:

This 13-week travel contract offers a unique opportunity to work in a busy surgical acute unit in Peoria, Illinois. You’ll be providing post-operative surgical care, managing trauma cases, and supporting overflow medical patients during night shifts. The role involves critical thinking with patient diagnoses including dressing changes, wound care, IV therapy, pain management, drains, NGs, and central lines. The setting is fast-paced, and your expertise will help ensure smooth patient recovery in a team-focused environment. Plus, you'll get to experience working with a mix of private rooms and observation beds, with a supportive charge nurse team on each shift. It's a chance to sharpen your skills and enjoy the camaraderie that comes with a dedicated surgical team without the pressure of patient care duties involving titrating drips or ventilator management beyond troubleshooting.
