Job Description:
Join our team for an exciting 13-week contract in Wausau, Wisconsin, where you'll contribute as a Registered Nurse on the Medical and Pediatrics (MAP) unit. This role involves night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, providing vital care to adult patients with conditions such as respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological disorders, gastrointestinal issues, and more. You'll float across inpatient units as needed, managing a patient load of roughly 4-7 patients per shift. The ideal traveler is resilient, adaptable, and comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with the healthcare team. Your expertise in EPIC documentation, trauma-level II experience, and Wisconsin RN licensure will ensure a smooth and rewarding stay. This role offers a guaranteed 48 hours per week, with overtime potential, and provides a unique opportunity to work in a hospital setting that values flexibility and teamwork.

Job Specifics:
Location: Wausau, WI
Shift: 12-hour nights, 7 PM to 7:30 AM
Duration: 13 weeks, with guaranteed 48 hours per week, OT available beyond 48 hours
This contract includes floating to all inpatient units on the Medical and Pediatrics (MAP) unit, excluding pediatric patients, with a patient ratio typically around 1:4-5 on days and 1:6-7 on nights. The role requires Wisconsin RN licensure, BLS certification, and at least 2 years of experience, with trauma level II experience highly preferred. Charting must be completed in EPIC. The traveler will be involved in caring for adults with respiratory, neurological, gastrointestinal, renal, infectious, and other acute conditions, with particular emphasis on managing complex cases and variable patient needs. Flexibility, independence, and excellent teamwork are essential to success in this role.
