Job Description:

This tele position is ideal for nurses with a strong cardiac telemetry background who enjoy interpreting strips and managing cardiac drips. You will be responsible for caring for post-ER patients waiting for hospital bed placement, primarily in MS/Tele units. The role involves managing titratable medications such as Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone, requiring precise adjustment based on physician orders. You'll work 12-hour shifts, mainly days, with the flexibility to self-schedule, and will be expected to cover four weekend shifts every four weeks. Orientation includes two shifts at the primary campus, with floating to other units as needed. This contract offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise in a fast-paced, challenging environment while working closely with ED patients in transition to inpatient care. Be prepared to pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours and a simulation lab test on day one. The focus is on technical skills and critical thinking rather than patient care activities.
