Job Description:

This intensive CVICU travel assignment requires a highly skilled RN to manage complex cardiac patients in a 20-bed unit. You'll oversee post-operative post open heart surgical patients, including those recovering from CABG, valve procedures, and vascular interventions, often ventilated and on multiple titratable drips. Your expertise in interpreting strips, rapid assessment, and managing equipment like IABPs, ECMO, and transcutaneous pacing is essential. The role involves working 12-hour day shifts over 15 weeks, with a fast-paced environment that demands swift decision-making and teamwork. Expect to provide critical monitoring, manage various lines and devices, and collaborate with specialists 24/7, including respiratory therapists and intensivists. It’s a perfect fit for a traveling professional with at least two years of CVICU experience who can hit the ground running and perform confidently in high-stakes situations. The assignment offers an engaging opportunity to refine advanced cardiovascular skills while functioning independently in a challenging yet rewarding setting.
