Job Description:

Join a specialized CVICU team in Peoria, Illinois, for a 15-week travel contract working 12-hour night shifts. This role is perfect for experienced cardiovascular ICU nurses eager to dive into a high-stakes environment filled with advanced cardiac procedures and complex patient cases. You will manage patients with conditions ranging from post-open heart surgery to VAD placements and heart transplants, utilizing advanced equipment like IABPs, ECMO, Swan-Ganz, and external pacemakers. Expect to titrate multiple drips and interpret telemetry strips, all while providing critical support to ventilated and unstable cardiac patients. The position offers a chance to work alongside dedicated charge nurses, house supervisors, and respiratory therapists 24/7, requiring quick adaptability and proficiency with sophisticated ICU tools.
