Job Description:

This travel assignment offers a chance to work as a Registered Nurse in a busy Med/Surg unit within a reputable facility in Bossier City, LA. You will be responsible for providing patient care for individuals with diagnoses like CHF, COPD, Altered Mental Status, and DKA, among others. The role involves managing patients on telemetry with an RN-to-patient ratio of 1:5, performing occasionally complex procedures such as chest tubes and wound care, and passing an EKG competency exam as part of compliance. Shifts are 12 hours long during the day, with every other weekend on rotation, and a typical workweek includes 36 hours. This assignment is ideal for nurses with at least 1 year of experience, with a preference for those who have prior acute care background. You'll have opportunities to support a multidisciplinary team, engage in patient education, and work in a facility renowned for stroke and chest-pain accreditation.
