Job Description:

Join a reputable Level I trauma acute care hospital in Springfield, IL, as a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse specializing in Urology and Nephrology. This contract offers a chance to work on a 4x12 or 3x12 night shift schedule (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) within a vibrant 25-bed unit that manages a daily census of 23 patients. Your primary responsibilities will include managing complex patients with renal failure, performing pre/post hemodialysis management, administering IV therapy including blood products, and maintaining telemetry equipment for cardiac monitoring. The role emphasizes hands-on skills like PICC line management, central line blood draws, and use of emergency response teams. Clinicians will float within scope to various medical-surgical units, providing versatile experience. This assignment is a great fit for experienced RNs with at least two years in Med Surg, including those new to travel nursing but with a solid foundation.
