Job Description:

Join a high-intensity labor and delivery unit as a Registered Nurse specializing in obstetrics at a busy hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina. This 20-week contracted role involves night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with a typical 36-hour workweek. Expect to handle a volume of over 20 births and 30-40 admits daily, working in a fast-paced environment where double labor assignments are common. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience on high-volume units, with a preference for 3 years. Experience with circulating, sterile vaginal exams, and immediate newborn care is required. Certifications needed include BCLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP. This assignment offers a unique opportunity to work in a specialty high-risk maternity setting, supporting obstetrical patients from early pregnancy through postpartum, including scheduled and unscheduled Cesarean births. RTO after booking is not permitted, and all work must be completed onsite. The unit, known for its high acuity, is accepting new travelers, including first-timers with relevant experience, and is committed to supporting staff through the holiday season until February 27, 2027.
