Job Description:

Join this engaging 13-week contract in the Cardiovascular Progressive Care (CVPC) unit at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. As a stepdown nurse, you'll work 12-hour night shifts on a floor dedicated to cardiac and vascular surgery patients, handling a diverse range of complex cases including open heart surgeries, thoracic procedures, and vascular repairs. Your days will be filled with managing epidural and chest tube care, administering IV medications, and monitoring post-op vitals—keeping a steady rhythm in this fast-paced environment. This role offers the chance to gain specialized experience with telemetry, CV surgery, and vascular patients, all while working with a skilled team caring for approximately 40 beds.
