Job Description:

This 15-week travel nursing assignment places you in the acute care unit at a hospital in Peoria, Illinois, working 12-hour night shifts. You'll be responsible for managing a diverse patient population with diagnoses ranging from GI bleeds and sepsis to CHF, COVID-19, and elderly fall incidents. Your role involves titrating Heparin drips, performing inpatient blood draws, and collaborating with a dedicated team of charge nurses, crisis RNs, and PCTs. Expect to work alongside remotely monitored telemetry with Phillips equipment, and handle a patient census typically between 22-26 patients. The unit values independent skills such as IV starts and blood draws, supported by a team-oriented environment that encourages resourcefulness and professionalism.
