Job Description:

Join Aspirus Wausau as a RN in the Post Surgical Care Unit, where you'll deliver specialized care to adult and geriatric patients recovering from surgery. This 13-week contract offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, managing high patient turnover with an average of 10-15 admissions daily. You'll be responsible for caring for post-operative patients in a 40-bed inpatient unit, navigating both pre- and post-surgical phases. The shift involves 12-hour nights with variable start times (7a-7p or 7p-7a), including every other weekend and holiday coverage. Your day-to-day duties will include utilizing Epic EMR for charting, operating medication scanning rovers, and managing Alaris infusion pumps. Experience with trauma level II cases and prior travel nursing is required. This role is perfect for seasoned professionals who thrive on multitasking, prioritization, and teamwork in a high acuity setting.
