Job Description:

Join the Ortho Neuro Trauma Care Center team as a Registered Nurse specializing in neuro and trauma patient care at Deaconess Midtown. This 13-week contract offers a chance to work with a diverse trauma and orthopedic patient population, including spinal injuries, fractures, and neuro assessments. Your primary responsibilities will involve applying your expertise in neuro assessment, patient stabilization, and assistive device management during 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm. Float requirements may include coverage within the same campus or nearby facilities, with sufficient notice provided. This role emphasizes critical thinking and resilience, with a focus on delivering specialized trauma and orthopedics care in a fast-paced setting. Travelers with a minimum of 2 years RN experience, including at least a year in ortho, neuro, or trauma, and recent EPIC charting experience are encouraged to apply. The unit's supportive environment ensures travelers are integrated as part of the team, with opportunities for precepting students and new hires.
