Job Description:

Join a well-respected hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana, for a 22-week travel RN contract focused on critical care and surgical units. This role involves 12-hour day shifts from 3pm to 3am, with floating opportunities within the Critical Care departments. You will engage in patient care activities that include vent management, vasoactive medication administration, and working with psychiatric patients. The position offers a chance to work with advanced equipment such as ventilators, Bipap, and EV 100s, utilizing EPIC for charting and Pyxis for medication distribution. The unit maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:3, providing a manageable but engaging environment. Orientation is comprehensive, with 2 days of initial training plus 2 weeks of mandatory floor training. This assignment balances professional growth with a structured schedule that keeps you on your toes.
