Job Description:

This travel contract offers an engaging opportunity to work in a busy PACU environment at a West Virginia hospital. As a PACU nurse, you will be responsible for caring for adult and pediatric patients recovering from various surgeries including general, plastics, ENT, urology, neuro, and orthopedic procedures. The role involves rotating through Pre-op, PACU, and Phase II, with a focus on managing patient recovery in a fast-paced setting. Expect to collaborate with a team of charge nurses, nurse aides, and experienced staff while navigating EMR documentation in EPIC. The schedule typically consists of 12-hour night shifts, with opportunities for weekend, holiday, and call duties. Experience with ICU recoveries, ventilator management, and reading strips is essential to succeed in this role, which promises a fulfilling and diverse perioperative experience.
