Job Description:

Join Aspirus Wausau Hospital as a Cardiac Telemetry/Step Down RN for a 13-week contract in Wausau, WI. You'll work 12-hour day shifts from 0700 to 1930, floating to all inpatient units as needed within a fast-paced 44-bed intermediate cardiac stepdown unit. Expect to monitor post-op CABG, Valve, thoracotomy, Vascular, Arrhythmia, CHF, and other cardiac patients, managing care with a patient ratio typically around 1:4. This role requires strong cardiac experience, including familiarity with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips, and recent EPIC charting in a similar setting. Be prepared to handle high patient turnover, demonstrate resilience, work independently, and adapt to change. Set hours are guaranteed weekly, with exception during holidays and flu season policies.
