Job Description:

This 13-week travel assignment in Winston-Salem, NC, offers an engaging opportunity for experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurses. You'll step into a 20-bed unit with a mix of general MedSurg patients, including CHF, COPD, GI, respiratory issues, wounds, and post-surgical cases. The role involves managing patient loads with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio, performing wound care, dressing changes, IV starts, and interpreting cardiac rhythms, all while using EPIC electronic medical records. The shift is 12-hour nights, allowing for restful days and exploring the city’s surroundings. To succeed, candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of MedSurg experience, BLS, and ACLS certifications. Experience with trachs, chest tubes, central line blood draws, and non-titrating drips like Heparin and Lasix is essential. Support staff includes CNAs and hospitalists available around the clock.
