Job Description:

This travel healthcare contract offers a unique opportunity for experienced Med Surg / Med Surg Tele nurses to work in a busy hospital setting in Des Moines, Iowa. The role involves providing care for a variety of patient types, including postoperative hip and knee surgeries, with occasional overflow of psych patients. The assignment features 12-hour daytime shifts over 13 weeks, allowing you to enjoy the city and surroundings while gaining valuable experience. This position is ideal for nurses who thrive in fast-paced environments and are comfortable handling diverse patient needs in Epic EMR. Flexibility to extend beyond the initial contract is preferred, as the department seeks committed professionals ready to contribute consistently. Essential requirements include a current Iowa or compact license, BLS certification, and at least 24 months of recent Med Surg experience. You will be actively involved in patient monitoring, documentation, and supporting the healthcare team during your shift.
