Job Description:
This contract opportunity places you in an Emergency Department (ED) holding support role within a vibrant hospital setting. As a float registered nurse, you'll assist in managing patients waiting for inpatient beds across medical/surgical diagnoses. Your responsibilities include interpreting dysrhythmias, managing various medical devices such as colostomy and feeding tubes, and providing care for patients with renal failure, blood products, chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, and high flow nasal cannula. You'll also be expected to float between ED, MedSurg, and PCU levels, supporting high acuity patients in a fast-paced environment. This position offers 12-hour night shifts with the charm of a busy, high-turnover unit, playing a vital role during the holiday season when patient flow peaks.
