Job Description:

This labor and delivery RN contract offers the chance to be part of a high-acuity, fast-paced maternity unit in Seattle, Washington. Expect to work 12-hour daytime shifts, supporting midwifery clients, private OBs, and women experiencing a range of pregnancy and postpartum conditions. Your role will involve circulating during deliveries, providing neonatal care including eyes and thigh assessments, and managing medications like magnesium sulfate and insulin. Unique to this assignment is the opportunity to serve as a Baby Nurse during deliveries and continue care until transfer to postpartum, requiring expertise in fetal monitoring and high-risk obstetric situations. The setting includes four operating rooms and a daily census averaging 15 patients, with a significant volume of deliveries each month. This contract is designed for experienced RN's with a minimum of 3-5 years of high-risk obstetric experience, current certifications, and the ability to adapt seamlessly to high-pressure scenarios.
