Job Description:

Join a Trauma/Neuro ICU as a Registered Nurse on a 12-hour night shift for a 13-week contract. This role is perfect for experienced ICU nurses who thrive in high-acuity settings and are proficient in managing complex neurological and trauma cases. Your responsibilities will include strict adherence to charting protocols, managing dysrhythmias, implementing IV and vent management, and supporting patients with conditions like multi-system organ failure, stroke, and spinal injuries. Noticeable to those who enjoy detailed assessments and accurate documentation, this assignment offers the chance to work within a unit known for thorough chart audits and a patient population spanning adolescents to geriatrics.

In this role, you'll work a 48-hour week, covering a rigorous but rewarding schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. The unit requires a minimum of 3 years of ICU experience with specific trauma and neuro ICU credentials. Certifications such as ACLS, BCLS, NIH, and TNCC/TCAR are mandatory, and familiarity with Cerner charting is essential. The unit values integrity in assessment and documentation, so attention to detail is critical.
