Job Description:

Join Aspirus Wausau on a 13-week travel contract working in the Short Stay Observation Unit. This role requires a seasoned RN ready to float across inpatient units, including IMC and CTU, providing vital support during variable 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. You will help manage a fast-paced environment with an average patient stay of up to 48 hours, handling diverse cases such as COPD, dehydration, post-op, and drips, in a unit dedicated to observation care. The position offers guaranteed 36 hours per week, with opportunities to work up to 36 hours of low census hours, billed as hour increments, ensuring flexibility. Ideal for resilient, independent professionals who can adapt to changing conditions seamlessly, and who possess clinical expertise in reading EKGs, interpreting strips, and managing medication drips essential to the unit's success.
