Job Description:

This CVICU Registered Nurse contract offers a chance to work in a specialized post-open heart recovery unit, where you'll be managing complex cardiac patients. Your responsibilities will include interpreting dysrhythmias, managing ECMO, IABP, ventricular assist devices, and caring for patients post-surgery such as TAVR and thoracotomies. Expect to handle invasive procedures, monitor arterial lines, and titrate cardiac drips while working 12-hour days. The overall setting emphasizes precision and quick decision-making, making each shift a critical contribution to patient recovery. Travel nurses should be prepared for a fast-paced environment that demands high-level cardiac skill and teamwork. No call-offs or RTOs are permitted after booking, so this role requires full commitment for the duration of the contract.
