Job Description:

Join a dedicated team providing emergency nursing care in a fast-paced, night-shift role at UF Health Shands in Gainesville. This 13-week contract offers the opportunity to float between two standalone Emergency Departments, handling a mix of trauma, adult emergency, and trauma center cases. Expect to work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, with a focus on critical care in a supportive, traveler-friendly environment. Unique to this role is the flexibility required to adapt to different ED settings within a 50-mile radius, making your travel experience both challenging and rewarding in an esteemed academic center.

Job Specifics:

Location: Gainesville, FL – Address: 7405 Southwest Archer Road. Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 pm – 7:30 am. Duration: 13 weeks, approximately 36 hours per week. Candidates must have 2-3 years of RN experience, recent travel experience, and current Florida or compact state license. Required certifications include BLS, PALS (or ENPC), ACLS, with TNCC preferred. EPIC EHR experience is necessary. The role involves floating between two EDs, with flexibility essential to meet the needs across trauma and adult emergency settings. Public health requirements include mandatory influenza vaccination, and candidates must pass basic tests in their specialty and EKG interpretation prior to orientation. No parking decal is provided for this position.
