Job Description:

Join our team for a 13-week travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) contract in Artesia, NM. You'll be working primarily in hospital-based outpatient settings, with occasional shifts in inpatient rehab units. This role offers a great opportunity to experience a variety of patient cases, including total joints, back, shoulder, and foot pain, as well as neuro cases like TBI, stroke, and Parkinson’s. Expect to treat around 8 to 10 patients daily, implementing individualized treatment plans, guiding functional exercises, and closely monitoring patient progress. The schedule is a standard 40-hour week from Monday to Friday, with a lunch break from 12-1 pm, and you'll participate in a rotation for weekend coverage in inpatient units. This assignment is uniquely flexible, providing valuable on-the-floor experience while allowing you to enjoy the diverse scenery and culture of New Mexico.

Shift: M-F, 8 AM - 5 PM (with 12-1 PM lunch)

Weekly Hours: 40 hours
Note: Role requires at least 1 year of outpatient PTA experience or inpatient-only experience. Must have a NM PT license, BLS certification, and fingerprint clearance. Dress code is business casual or solid scrubs. The first 1-2 shifts involve department-specific orientation with a preceptor.
