Job Description:

This travel healthcare contract offers a hands-on opportunity for registered nurses with at least one year of medical-surgical experience. The role involves providing care to a diverse patient population, including older teens and adults, with diagnoses ranging from pneumonia and UTI to postoperative orthopedic and urological surgeries. You'll work 12-hour night shifts for a 13-week period in a facility that emphasizes teamwork, bedside shift reports, and proactive patient engagement. Expect a fast-paced environment where adaptability and clinical skills are key, especially given the unit’s frequent admits and discharges.

Hours per week: 36 hours
Note: The role involves working in a unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6, able to handle up to 6 patients per shift, with experience in EPIC documentation, titrating drips like Heparin, Lasix, and Bumex. Floating to IMCU for medical-surgical assignments may be required, and orientation includes 1.5 shifts. Scrubs are provided, and the schedule may involve weekend, holiday, and call coverage as needed.
