Job Description:

Join a dedicated surgical team as an Operating Room Registered Nurse in Jennings, Louisiana, for a 13-week contract. This role offers the chance to work in a busy rural hospital where you'll be responsible for supporting OR surgeries, C-sections, PACU, and Endoscopy procedures. The shift runs daily from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with scheduled call requirements once a week and every fifth weekend—be prepared to arrive within 30 minutes if called. Your daily tasks will involve assisting the surgical team with a variety of procedures, ensuring smooth operations from prep to recovery. Due to the nature of the facility, be ready to be flexible in multi-disciplinary tasks and, occasionally, to be on emergency relief teams when needed. Experience with Epic, ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications is required, and at least one year of relevant experience is necessary. First-time travelers to this unit are not accepted, but this is an excellent opportunity for seasoned OR nurses seeking a meaningful assignment in a close-knit community.
