Job Description:

Join our team as an RN in the Psychiatric Emergency Room at a vibrant medical campus located in Aurora, Colorado. This 14-week night shift assignment offers a chance to work in a fast-paced, specialized behavioral health setting, focusing on acute psychiatric emergencies including pediatric mental health crises. As part of this role, you'll be primary in managing critical cases, supporting patients with complex psychiatric needs, and collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams. The night shift runs from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, providing a unique opportunity to experience the hospital’s overnight rhythm and the calm that often accompanies it—plus, a few weekends may be on your schedule. This role is perfect for a nurse with a BSN, at least one year of professional experience, and a passion for mental health advocacy, especially those familiar with eating disorder treatment, NG tube management, or trauma-informed care. Experience in acute care, behavioral health, or pediatric psychiatric emergency is highly valued. Be prepared to provide patient-centered, therapeutic care while maintaining safety and professionalism at every turn.
