Job Description:

Join our team as an Oncology Registered Nurse on a 13-week travel contract in Fredericksburg, VA. This role places you on a medical floor dedicated to palliative care and oncology, providing an engaging experience in a fast-paced, specialized setting. You'll work 12-hour days, caring for patients with conditions such as COPD, diabetes, cellulitis, pancreatitis, sickle cell, and oncology. The unit operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6, offering a manageable case load that emphasizes quality over quantity. This position includes the opportunity to work within a Level II Trauma Center and involves administering chemotherapy and blood transfusions, managing isolation precautions, and demonstrating expert IV skills. Whether you’re new to this environment or a seasoned professional, this assignment provides valuable inpatient medical experience while allowing flexibility within the scope of medical assignments and emergency department coverage.
